Creating a new polished marketing campaign for an established financial institution...

City and County Credit Union is a banking institution that has been operating in the Twin Cities for over 90 years – they compete directly with the big banks in the world, but in contrast to these mega institutions offer a local environment to do banking and a not-for-profit banking model. Within the Twin Cities, they have eight locations and over 62,000 members. 

The marketing team reached out with an ambitious project to shoot a local television commercial with real credit union members, a young family of five, focusing on mom Jill. The CCCU marketing team and Added Element collaborated on the script, storyboards and all the planning to get this project lined up for the production.

The shoot day was not without its hurdles, with the plan to shoot at a park first thing in the morning being derailed by a severe thunderstorm. We quickly pivoted to our home location and shot everything inside first, and thankfully our afternoon cooperated with nice weather and allowed us to capture at the park. 

We edited the spot and Corey worked his magic with a clean color grade, and we delivered the commercial in the specs needed for broadcast television. 

After this production wrapped, we have jumped into new projects with the CCCU marketing team, aiding their efforts to grow the awareness about their financial institution. 

Success Metrics:

CCCU first launched our testimonial video in October 2021 and within just one month our click-through-rate (CTR) increased by 25% from September on all digital platforms.

On social media channels alone – the testimonial video yielded a 3.45% CTR from our efforts vs. .66% CTR in September from a static image (422% increase in engagement).

We completed this project on a lake in Hayward, Wisconsin in Summer of 2022...
