Creating a Fundraising Video That Inspires

When a mission matters, and dollars are needed to keep an organization thriving, the story behind it needs to shine. Recently, Added Element had the opportunity to craft a powerful fundraising video for The Ordway — a centerpiece for their 2025 spring event, The Ordway Ruby Garden Gala, attended by hundreds of supporters, partners, and donors. This is the second year we have partnered with The Ordway for this fundraising initiative – we are so proud to have been invited to collaborate again.

The goal for this video? To move hearts and drive fundraising action in just a few unforgettable minutes.

The video was meant to closely focus on the programs The Ordway has for inspiring students to get interested in the arts. Working closely with The Ordway team, we identified key personnel to interview and talked with them about the imprint that the educational outreach programs have on the Twin Cities youth who attend.

The final product is more than a video — it’s a call to action designed to connect the audience to the cause in a meaningful, memorable way.

Having made the video for the event, Corey, myself and our wives were invited to attend the event as Sponsors of The Ordway. As you can tell from the picture, we had a blast. As the lights dimmed and the video played at The Ordway Garden Gala, we hoped it would spark generosity and deepen support for a mission that truly matters. We’re proud to be part of something bigger — and to help amplify voices that deserve to be heard and further this mission to having the arts impact Twin Cities students’ lives.
